About Me

He's not really a producer. He just happens to have the skill to form a beat that matches the tempo his heart is pacing at that moment. He's not really a writer. He just goes through life allowing the pen to speak to his paper about what his mind would normally dictate to his lips. Syn Cere! Syn Cant Enter Redemptions Eternity Syn cant enter heaven basically. And the Sin that many are guilty of, is not using the talent they are blessed with and allowing their circumstance or envrionment to be an excuse for holding back talent. Instead he chooses to allow his circumstances to become his punchline.

Wake up

In order to make the Source Vibe or Double XL
I gotta excel
But honestly Im livin in hell
just minus the fiery furnace
politicians try to burn us
to the point where seeing blue and white lights make me nervous
look at Diallo
then tell me theyre not diablos
the facts of life may be hard for you to swallow
the youth dont know about activist
they know about hollow tips
so the goal is a platinum plaque
and not a scholarship
stereotypes i dont acknowledge em
i wish i was alive to see Martin or Malcom,
I swear to God i woulda followed em
Its evident
they dont wanna see a black president
to surburban residents
minority unemployment is irrelevant
the hell with it
my views need a coroner
dead to the world, no matter how many times they vote in florida
its rigged
no matter what they cant fool the kid
behind bars or in front of em
we all doing a bid
If we stop rasing our guns
and start raising our sons
maybe then we can be a nation of one
but it seems nobody wants to bother
too many black women gotta play the roll of both mother and father
it gets harder
but who the hell cares
the goal is Bel Air
so Its time to say fare well to well fare
lets run the country instead of running the block
we aint gotta spend the rest of our lives running from cops
its a set up
and we falling for the trap
instead of studying law
we studying raps
its like they took our role models and traded them away
cause the only doctor we wanna be like is Dre
they put guns in our hood
drugs in our hood
they got neighbors,
we, we got thugs in our hood
you want dollars? but we need the change right away
the suns still shines
but im beggin for a brighter day

Joe Buddens gettin at Prodigy

New T.I. Whatever u like

Was it all a dream

I had a dream last night that you died then i cried
then i woke up cold sweats and i sighed
cant imagine life you not by my side
late night passenger seat, whos gonna ride?
early morning the sun shines but now I
see the angel that God put in my life
No halo, no wings, girl ya still fly
no passport, you are my G5
i didnt ask for it somehow in due time
I never knew I
would ever find my
rider and better half, the love you provide
takes away all the pain in my life
teary eyed proposal on valentines
now you and that rock on ya hand can both shine
fourth finger your left hand go ahead smile
the woman of my dreams will become my wife
Was it all a dream?

MJ or Kobe

Im riding with MJ. In his prime, hell even when he came back from retirement I feel Micheal Jordan could house Kobe Bryant. I loved MJ but i wasnt always a die hard MJ fan. I always went for the underdog (cough Knicks cough). In the Vid. his shot still looks pure and you cant help but wonder who is or was a better player. They share a few things in common but besides class, I love the fact that Jordan made his team better...or maybe Jordan was the team...or I dunno. Im riding with MJ cause dude helped Bugs Bunny beat the MONSTARZ in "Space Jam".
6 NBA rings
5 time NBA MVP
14 time NBA All Star
6 time NBA Finals MVP
defensive player of the year (not many guards get that)
10 time NBA first team
9 time NBA defensive first team
Rookie of the year
2 time slam dunk champ
He averaged 41 pts a game in the NBA finals (6 games)
exc.
Props to the best that ever done it.

HE Still Got it. And he lets it be known...Kobe cant hold him

"Fantasy is what people want, but reality is what people need"

Am i the only one who misses Lauryn Hill. I feel like music kinda died down when she finished recording beautiful music. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is by far in my book one of the top three R&B Female albums in my time. You can throw Floetry's first album in there and the other slot can go to either Mary J Blige's "411", Sade's "Lovers Rock", Mary J Blige's "Share My World", or Alicia Keys "Songs in A Minor"

Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was one of the most profound works of art to date, and since then I yearn for some L Boogie. (the unplugged album doesnt count) . So here are a few of my favorite Lauryn Hill lines. CELEBRATION!

Sold your soul for some secular Muzak that's wack, Plus you use that loop over and over Claiming that you got a new style Your attempts are futile, Ooo chile Your puerile, Brain waves are sterile You can't create, you just wait to take "how many mics"

He tried to burn me like a perm Though my eyes saw the deception, My heart wouldn't let me learn From um, some, dumb woman, was I, And everytime he'd lie, he would cry and inside I'd die. My heart must have died a thousand deaths Compared myself to Toni Braxton thought I'd never catch my breath "mista mista"

And even after all my logic and my theory, I add a mutha f%% er so you ignint niggas hear me. "zealots"

Why every Indian wanna be the chief? Feed a man 'til he's full and he still want beef. Give me grief, try to tief off my piece. Why for you to increase, I must decrease? "forgive them father"

Till This Day "Ex Factor" is my ish

Infatuation

abstract thoughts of butterfly kisses
contracted, no genie, just granted wishes
from an angel on earth
made mine from birth....
she just doesnt know it yet
i yearn from it
i learn from it
many say if i further my desire for her
i will hurt from it
i envy those who hold her
and connect lips like letters written in cursive
so i curse it
maybe not outloud, but inside i do
that is until my imagination
leads me to another infatuation
i often confuse her
misuse her
abuse her
regardless if i had a choice
i would choose her
i tasted the sweetness of desire
worked for her
tears became my perspire
only to lose it quicker than a curious virgin
different book sometimes the same page
some choose to tie her down
others choose to openly engage
i choose to admire from afar
look up from below
look down from above
and continue to infatuate with this girl called love

"....Kick the truth, to the young black youth"

Remember that line from CREAM. Damn the Wu was killin em. Now more than ever I miss the old days of Rap Music. Rap was everything. Raw, Fun, and at the same time meaningful. It spoke about the struggle, it made you dance, gave you the courage to step to a girl, or to step up and fight a bully. What about now? Where is the message in Rap. Better yet, where are the arising MC's? I see a lot of rappers, some who barley even pass the mark as a rapper (I see you MIMS, Kia Shine, Stacks, exc) but i dont see a lot of young people trying to MC.

I KNOW THE ANSWER!

Its what Nas was trying to say when he said Hip Hop is Dead. Although its not dead, its on life support. Its all about the progression of music. It has taken a downward spiral. The watering down of music hasnt inspired our youth to want to write or say anything lyrical or meaningful. Album sales show this, downloads and ringtones show this, Hell even what plays in the club. If it doesnt snap, and its not from the south or making it rain or slappin a woman in the ass.... it gets no burn. I dont blame age for the reason the young artist arent making much sense or aspiring to be an MC. Why write when you can be lazy, superman that Hoooooo and go platinum. (what up soulja boy) And im not hating, im just being real. So this is dedicated to two young rappers I liked growing up. One of em i battled at Hempstead High School, the other is from the Wu Tang. For all you 80 babies you should remember em. They were sick with then pen at the same age...matter of fact a lil younger than soulja boy, hurricane chris, romeo, and bow wow. So lets remember HIP HOP.

A + and Shyheim

My Letter to Hip Hop

Dear Hip Hop

I miss you. I never realized how important you were to me, until the day you left. I mean.... i dont even remember when exactly you did leave. I just woke up and you were gone. Or maybe... just maybe, you left in spirit way before you left me physically. Please come back, I miss you. I miss the days when I was encouraged to write a rhyme after I heard a verse from the lastest mixtape i picked up. Remember the nights I would fall asleep with the headphones on listening to your sweet voice. I miss that. Now I fall asleep to singers, and at the most.. recordings of what you gave me when we were together. I remember when I couldnt do without you. I brought you on the bus and train with me. You were always in my car. Since the day I met you, I took you home and never let you go. We spoke the same language. Well... thats a given because you spoke every language. And although you meant so much to a lot of people... I knew you were made for me.

Why did you leave? Where did it go wrong? Was it when the dude from Brooklyn died. I know you guys were close friends but what about me? I need you. Even when you took trips to the South and the West Coast, I stayed. I would still write you letters and would listen to the messages you left for me. Why now? Why leave me now when I needed you most. Was it the money that changed you? Was it when your credit card had "No limit" and you were out hanging with them "Hot Boys". Is that when it died? Did you become so materialistic that you forgot your roots? Please come back home.

My Queens so many people fight over who is your king. You taught me a title is of no importance. Still that goes to show you how many people feen to be close to you. Where did we go wrong? Was your love switched for lust? I see videos of you now and damn baby the creativity has left you. All i see is ass and tits and while you know I love your ass and tits, I kinda miss when you left me wanting more. When you depicted beautiful pictures to go along with your songs, you kept my eyes glued to you.

Where are you? Please come home! You went from roaming the streets and you would think that after the tales of getting shot nine times you would learn from your mistakes. Now all you do is dance. Dance, snap, and talk such nonsense. Why baby? Is it my fault? I should have tried harder. Damn i should have never stopped writing you letters, instead I bragged on how much I didnt need to write. At times i said such nonsense. Or maybe it was the beats. Could it be that when the tables turned and Mic went away that I replaced your heartbeat for drum patterns. Maybe this muted your voice, hushed your cries, and forced you to forget who you once were. I miss you. Please come back home. No matter how much money you get or the mistakes you made..I am here. I love you and Im sorry.

Sincerely

Syn Sixteens

Nas, Jay-Z, & my thoughts

First off.... am I the only one that noticed that Nas (Queens stand up) mostly rocks the Ny Mets fitted while Hov (BABAY!, (in my biggie voice)) rocks the Ny Yankee fitted. Just an observation.

First off shouts to Mel, my fellow stan. Shes the one that forced the kid to get up on his blog ish. So blame her for me runnin this shyt.
To be honest at first I was mad at Nas for uniting with Jay. I mean the greatest battle in Hip Hop in my era has to be the Nas and Jay battle. Big and Pac wasnt much of a battle on wax as it was a coastal beef. The hell with what people say, the media didnt hype the east coast/west coast beef, we did. That was just the power Big and Pac had. Two men were powerful enough to make one coast beef with another. Dont believe me check out The 95 Source awards, listen to Mobb Deeps drop a gem on em, A various amount of Tupac songs, Dog Pounds Ny Ny and CNN's LA LA. But Nas and Jay, damn man I remember when I first heard "ask Nas he dont want it wit Hov" CRAZY! Then when i heard the full version of Takeover, I was like damnnnnnnnn Jay went in. At this time all my fellow 456 heads and fellow Classmates at LIU took liberty to come at me feeling as if Jay killed God Son. Then Nas dropped the Stillmatic Freestyle. Jabbed Jay and the whole Roc a lil bit. Jay would throw lil punches that was until Ether. I dont have to go into details but even at Hot 97 fm the fans ruled that Nas won the battle by 62%.
Fast forward to Jay Z's "I Declare War" concert. During "Dead Presidents" Jay brings out Nas. I felt proud for the unity those two men showed, and just for NY rap in general. But when I heard the news that Nas signed to Def Jam while Jay was the president, I felt a lil uneasy. I mean damn Nas, this dude said he left condoms on your babys carseat. I didnt understand it. I felt like in the end Nas took an "L" How could Nas sign under someone who let the world know he blazed ya baby moms.
As I start to see more of Nas and Jay perform together, and I hear the songs they do together. That and the shout outs they give eachother on songs, I get this feeling inside of me that makes me feel like NY runs this. I salute them. More than ever I can have a greater appreciation for Nas, his humility as a man and what he and Jay did for Hip Hop. What they are trying to do for East Coast hip hop. The two best Mcs in the game had the greatest most lyrical battle to be seen in Rap minus the violence. And the ended that shyt like grown men. Now that Jay Z is no longer Prez of Def Jam, and Nas has the machine on his back for now, Ny can be proud of what is to come. Finally I get it!

Nigger, Nigga.. Who can say it, Who cant

So My shorty and I are at the CheeseCake Factory (free promotion) and we are in line waiting to be seated. A white gentleman brushes a younger white gentleman who seems to be around 20 to 25 years of age. The younger of the two shouts out "Yo Nigga watch where the hell you goin" His friend who was around the same age group and was also white yells out "Yea nigga you scumb". My girl and I stood lost out of our damn mind. If you think we we're lost, imagine what was going through the older white gentlemans head. Honestly I was waiting for either of the young dudes to look at me or my girl in any matter at all so they couldve got the beaten of their life. For the record my shorty can scrap too. So the question hit me... since when did Nigga become a word that white people call each other or say period. Another question hit me after that... Nigger or Nigga and whats the difference. How the hell did Nigger become Nigga. And why was i willing to whoop this "niggas" ass

Most people would be quick to blame Hip Hop. Ever since the days of NWA (niggas with an attitude) hip hop has received the backlash due to our open forum and use of the word. Is hip hop to blame? I acknowledge that the word may cause hurt to those who hold that word to be offensive. Others use it as a word of fellowship. Some to this day use it as a racist lash.

It is often argued that African Americans took that word which cause so much hurt and we turned it into a way of showing that the word holds no more power against us. Hmmm.... then why would we trip if a White man calls us Nigger or Nigga at that. Racism still exist, I mean Bill O' Riley can mention Lynching a black woman with no problem. Dude from Seinfeld can use it several times on stage without huge penalty. So Nigger, Nigga, whats okay, whats not.

"Yo nigga"
Yo nigger"

I cant call it. Yall niggas let me know what you think
